Icon

Le Corbusier often created several pieces for his favorite themes. “Icon,” expressed with a female holding hands in prayer, is one of them. The hands, exaggerated in their size, perhaps that of Yvonne paying in peace. Le Corbusier’s sculptural works are carved by his friend, Joseph Savina, based on the architect’s drawings, after which the colors are applied by the author himself.
