<Entre Deux>

This is the prologue to Le Corbusier's engravings collection <Entre Deux>, which comprises of his daily observations and the corresponding imageries. A figure symbolic of bull's horn is drawn. The literature states that this symbol first appeared in his 60s, which is between 1947 and 1956, the post war era when he worked on Unité d'habitation in Marseilles, Usine Duval, Maison du Docteur Curutchet, and Chandigarh. In his non-architectural practice, his engravings collection 『Le Poeme de l'Angle Droit』 is among the works of this period. This was the most fulfilling period for Le Corbusier, according to the architect himself. The symbolism of a bull and its strength fittingly characterizes his works of this time.
