Bathing Women and Fishing Net

Having grown up in a small city in the mountainous region in Switzerland, Le Corbusier had fondness for vast sea and blazing sun. His favorite retreats were Arcachon Peninsula in the Atlantic and Cap Martin in the Mediterranean. This work themed after sea-bathers at a fishing village of Petit Piquey at Arcachon Peninsula, depicting women relaxing by the fishing net. The net is hung to be dried, and behind it is the beach and the sea.
