Critical Harmony with Lantern

Centered in the frame with its blue handle is the lantern, illuminating the darkened background. To the left are pot, matchbox, and a cigarette, and a multi-layered hexagonal glass is shown on the right. Warmness of the pot contrast that of the coldness of the glass; this difference further enhanced using curves and rigid angles. The composition is carefully thought out, with the lantern in the middle, the composition attains a critical harmony. Detaching the lower portion of the painting at the horizontal line forms a rectangle with golden ratio. The pot is framed in its own golden ratio, while the top right section forms a square, which can be further divided into four with the centralized hexagon. The rectangle around the pot is also divided into a square and another golden section, which houses the matchbox and a cigarette.
