A Pitcher and a Cup – New World of Space
![](../../../assets/custom-static/oilcolor01.png)
A piece from a period when Le Corbusier veers away from Purism. As his collaboration with Ozenfant and publishing of L'Esprit Nouveau reaches their ends in 1925, his paintings begin to show more curved forms rather than thin and meticulous. One cans see the curvature of the bottle in this work, but freehand and organic rather than geometric, which is a defining feature of his works from this point on.
