Female Face (Yvonne Gallis)

Le Corbusier has drawn many women, most of which are anonymous, but there were two exceptions; his wife Yvonne Gallis and a dancer of African descent, Josephine Baker. He met Yvonne in Paris, and got married in 1930. The southern French woman had a defined facial feature and was a fashion model in Paris. Her round face, almond-shaped lips, and big eyes are her defining features.
