Still Life

Plates, knives, forks, spoons, bread, and glasses are placed on a table, while a light house is visible from below them. This is drawn in preparation for his oil painting themed “Lunch with a Light House.” It is believed to be the lighthouse of Cape Ferret at his favorite retreat of Arcachon Peninsula. The warping and bulging table wares contrast with his works of the early 1920’s, presenting a certain evolution into his new style.
